Why it lives with billing

Most platforms leave the gate in a separate app. We connect it to billing.

When access control is a disconnected system, a payment and an open gate are two separate events — so lockouts lag, codes drift, and there's another login and another bill. Smart Storage Software integrates with DoorCloud, so the gate reads from the same source of truth as billing. A past-due renter is locked out automatically; the second they pay, they're back in.

01

One connected system

Codes, gate hours, and access events live next to the ledger — not in a separate app you have to reconcile by hand.

02

Automatic lockout

A past-due renter is locked out through DoorCloud automatically; the moment they clear the balance, they're let back in — no lists to export.

03

One login

Assign a code, set hours, pull entry logs, and revoke access from the dashboard your team already uses every day.

What it does

Everything you need to control access — shipping today.

Per-renter access codes

Assign a unique code to each renter and push it to the gate. Every code change is kept with a full history, so you always know who had access and when.

Gate hours, enforced on-device

Set business and after-hours per facility, with per-renter 24/7 overrides. Hours are checked right on the controller — so they hold even if the internet drops.

Live access logs

Every allow and deny — renter, time, gate, and reason — streams back in real time and is fully searchable. Denials are labelled: outside hours, lockout, blocked, or unknown.

Delinquency lockout

When a renter goes past due, their code is revoked across the gate in one click — or automatically through the collections workflow. They're reactivated the moment they pay, with a per-customer override when you need it.

Works through outages

The gate keeps codes and gate hours in local storage, so it keeps letting the right people in even with no connection. Entry events queue on-device and bulk-sync the moment it's back online.

Gate-down alerts

Get notified if the gate stops reporting. Set the alert recipients, the offline threshold, and quiet hours — and send a test alert to confirm it's wired up.

Live access log

Every entry, the moment it happens.

Allows and denies stream back in real time — renter, time, gate, and reason — and every denial is labelled so you know exactly why the gate said no. It's fully searchable, and it never leaves the dashboard your team already lives in.

Integrated with DoorCloud

Your gate and your dashboard,
working as one.

Because Smart Storage Software integrates with DoorCloud, the gate and your dashboard speak the same language. Open a gate, change a code, pull a log — it happens in real time, and access keeps working even if the network blips.

01

Real-time, both ways

Open a gate and see entry events the instant they happen. The gate reports its status, so you always know it's online.

02

Keeps running offline

Codes and gate hours are stored right at the gate, so it keeps working with no connection — then catches the dashboard up the moment it's back.

03

Standard keypads

Works with common Wiegand gate keypads, so you're not locked into one proprietary reader to enter a code at the gate.

Better together

The gate is one step in a workflow that runs itself.

Because access lives with billing, the gate is just one stage in the 5-step delinquency workflow — Late, Locked Out, Pre-Lien, Lien, Auction. The lockout stage revokes the code automatically; a cleared balance restores it. No exporting lists, no separate gate app.

We integrate with DoorCloud, so gate access lives in the same dashboard as billing and collections — no extra login.

Yes. When a renter goes past due their code is revoked across the gate automatically, and it reactivates the moment they pay.

Yes. The gate hardware stores codes and gate hours locally, so it keeps letting the right people in with no connection. Entry events queue on-device and bulk-sync the moment it's back online.

Single-gate setups are supported today; multi-gate-per-location support is on the roadmap.
